Weapon snatching bid foiled in south Kashmir
Srinagar: A weapon snatching bid was foiled by police after suspected militants attacked a policeman guarding PDP leader and former MLA’s residence in south Kashmir’s Wanpoh area.
Local sources said that suspected militants attacked the policemen guarding the residence of Abdul Gafar Sofi, a PDP leader and former minister along the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Wanpoh.
They said there was a scuffle between policeman guarding PDP leader’s house and a militant and when militant’s bid to snatch the weapon was foiled they fled the scene.(Agencies)
