An orphan student Furqaan Ashraf of Dooru tops NEET examinations in J&K

Srinagar, Jul 01  : Maintaining the legacy of exceptional performance in competitive examinations, more than 200 students from CMs Super 50 Coaching Centres and Winter Tutorials established by the School Education Department have qualified NEET examination recently. This was stated by Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo in a statement today.
He said that it is the hard work and dedication of our teachers and students who have worked hard to bring laurels to the State. He appreciated the efforts of the teachers engaged for these coaching centres.
Pertinently an orphan student namely Furqaan Ashraf of BHSS Dooru has topped the NEET examination in J&K by securing 597 marks. The Department organized a felicitation ceremony for him and other qualifier of the area in BHSS Dooru in which Furqaan Ashraf who is an orphan and raised by his mother was felicitated by Joint Director School Education, South Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone.
Director School Education Kashmir Dr. Itoo participated in the event through video conference from Srinagar. He congratulated Furqaan on his success and appreciated his hard work. He also lauded his mother who despite limited resources supported him and worked hard to make Furqaan achieve this success. He also congratulated all the successful candidates from the State.
DSEK said that Ministry of Human Resources Development has appreciated the initiative of the Department of establishing CMs Super 50 Coaching Centres for different Competitive examinations.
He added that MHRD Ministry will release funds for the establishment of more such Coaching Centres in the State. He said that in addition to the already established CMs Super 50 Civil Services Coaching Centres in Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramulla, one such centre shall be established in each District of Kashmir Division.
Secretary School Education Farooq Ahmad Shah has also congratulated Furqaan Ashraf and other successful candidates and appreciated the efforts put by the teachers to make this possible. (Agencies)
