7 years on, work on Nagapathri-Wazilkulnaad road still incomplete in Tral

Srinagar: The work on Nagapathri-Wazilkulnaad road in Tral area, under “Pradan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana” (PMGSY) was started in 2010. but due to some issues , it was later stopped by the concerned authorities, left residents dismayed in the area.
As per the reports , the project to repair the 5 Kilometre road (from Kahlil Lalpora to Wazil-Kulnad ) under PMGSY , was first started in year 2010, in the area, but soon after it , the work was stopped for years.
Now , after long time , when it was restarted in 2017, People of the area expressed pleasure, thanked the authorities for restarting the work and were hoping to see the black-topped roads soon in the area, but work could not be completed till the date , as once again, authorities did the same by stopping the work on it, a month ago.
People particularly the students are facing immense hardships due to the potholes on this road.
“The concerned department has increased our miseries as the road is in dilapidated condition and is giving very much tough time to us while travelling on it ,” Ali Mohammad , a resident of Nagapathri village said while talking to Kashmir Age.
When contacted, Junior Engineer, of the road, he didn’t respond despite back to back calls.
People of the area have requested the higher authorities particularly to Chief Engineer PMGSY to personally look into the matter.
