2 drug peddlers arrested in north Kashmir’s Bandipora
Srinagar, August 2: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers in Sumbal town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A police spokesman said that 35 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from a Maruti car intercepted by cops at a checkpoint at Wangipora Bala area of Sumbal. Two people traveling in the car were arrested for possessing the drugs.
Police spokesperson identified the duo as Farooq Ahmad Parray and Tariq Ahmad Dar, both residents of Wangipora.
“A case FIR number 98/2018 under section 8/21 NDPS has been registered against the duo,” the spokesman added.
