Anantnag, Aug 04 : Terming the action of forces on villagers of Yanner Pahalgam as unwarranted and uncalled for, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Spokesperson Rafi Ahmad Mir today said use of force on innocent people is highly regrettable and unfortunate.
In a statement issued to KPS, Mir expressed his sympathies with the locals who got injured in action of security forces.
While condemning the forces action, Mir said that unfortunately scores of people have received pellet injures and such brute use of force on peaceful people will only push them to the wall and result into a massive upheaval.
He said that nearly 50 people of Pahalgam and adjoining areas have received serious injuries and the government must answer this.
Mir also demanded the government to provide immediate medical facilities to the injured and ensure that the locals are not harassed by the forces, stating that failing which, people will be forced to hit the streets.
