Srinagar: A serving Chief Engineer has come under Vigilance surveillance for having assets disproportionate to his known income.
Sources in the Vigilance told that Abdul Hanief who was earlier Chief Engineer I&FC before being shifted to other department was under Vigilance radar for quite some time and his multiple residences were raided this morning.
Originally hailing from Gureez area of Bandipora district Haneef has raised several assets at many places prompting VoK to start investigations against him.
Sources said that VOK registered a case FIR No. 29/2018 against the Chief Engineer of Bandipora for possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
