Malik condemns killing of Pulwama youth
Srinagar, Sep 03 (PR): Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Monday condemned the killing of one more Kashmiri at Cheva Muran Pulwama today.
Terming the ongoing military crackdown and spree of killings in entire Kashmir especially in the southern districts of Kashmir as ‘a well-strategized policy’ of India, Malik in a statement issued to KPS said that “Jammu Kashmir is a police state where killing humans is a normal affair and no matter who runs the state affairs is deployed only to kill, maim and target Kashmiris.”
He said that toady dozens of villages in Pulwama were besieged by Indian occupational forces and beating people, vandalizing their properties, humiliating honourable citizens was started as a matter of routine.
“During this crackdown trigger happy forces opened fire on civilians killing one more Kashmiri youth Fayaz Ahmad of Chewa Kalan Pulwama on spot and injuring dozens more. This killing spree is a well-devised plan of Indian occupation and its soul aim is to inflict more harm and injury to Kashmiris, intimidate them and force them into submission in front of the illegal occupation,” Malik said.
He said that “crackdowns have become a daily routine and during these military operations, beating common people without the discrimination of age and gender, arresting, torturing and humiliating innocents, vandalizing and destroying properties, blasting and burning down residential houses and private vehicles has increased at an alarming proportion.”
Malik said that “on one hand this oppression and state sponsored terrorism against common people is going on and on the other hand enforcing so called democracy is being done by the illegal occupants, which is highly hypocritical and absurd.”
“Young Fayaz Ahmad of Chewa was fired directly in his head and others who have received bullets or pellets also have received injuries above chests. This clears the fact that killers in uniform fire to kill only as they have no respect or regret for human life,” he said.
Malik said that killings, arrests, lootings and shootings cannot put a nation into submission which has resolved to fight for its freedom and dignity. “Indian rulers must realize that people of Jammu Kashmir cannot be put into submission by these tyrannical acts and killings. In fact our resolve to achieve freedom and right to self determination gets strengthen by this oppression,” Malik asserted.
While paying tributes to Fayaz Ahmad, Malik expressed solidarity with his bereaved family and also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in ‘Indian state terrorism’.
Meanwhile, Malik expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother of senior resistance leader General Moosa and termed her demise as ‘a great loss’.
Malik said that she was wife of a martyr and mother of another martyr and stood in the first row when time for sacrifice came. He said that the departed mother and his whole family rendered valuable sacrifices for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir and no Kashmiri can ever overlook these sacrifices.
While praying for her heavenly abode, Malik also prayed for the Sabr I Jamil to her bereaved family. JKLF chairman and many other JKLF leaders including Noor Mohammed Kalwal, Mushtaq Ajmal and Bashir Kashmiri visited the bereaved family and prayed for her heavenly abode.
