Mehbooba woes to work for dialogue, peace
Srinagar, Mar 21 Exuding Confidence that people would vote for PDP in the coming bye-elections PDP President and incumbent Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday said that her party has got the mandate for the agenda late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed set for the party in last parliamentary and assembly elections.
According to KNS Correspondent Tasaduq Rashid, addressing a party convention at Dak-Bunglow Anantnag PDP President Mehbooba Mufti reiterated her party’s commitment to work for the agenda which would take Kashmir out from the morass and called upon the incumbent central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately resume dialogue with Pakistan and take necessary steps for restoring the confidence and trust of the people of Jammu and Kashmir State. She said that Agenda of her party is people’s agenda.
Addressing the meeting of the Pahalgam assembly segment the PDP candidate for Anantnag parliamentary constituency Tasaduq Mufti said that his father late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had a vision to promote tourism on modern lines to fast track the economic development of the State.
Saying that late Mufti was highly concerned about the face left of the tourist infrastructure in Pahalgam and other Tourist hotspots of Kashmir Valley, Tasaduq said education is the bench mark of the developmental agenda of his party and committed to work for revolutionizing the education in government schools.
However he said all depends on the central government which will have to supplement efforts of the State government in reducing the trust deficit through dialogue with Pakistan and conflict resolution in Jammu and Kashmir State.
Among others who were present on the occasion include Rafi Ahmad Mir, Sajad Mufti and Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra.
