Minor crushed to death by train in city outskirts: Mother injured while rescuing

Srinagar, 06 Sep : A minor boy was crushed to death after being hit by a train at Wanabal, Rawalpora, Srinagar

The deceased has been identified as Gulzar Ahmad Khatana (4 year old) son of Abdul Rashid Khatana, resident of Changas, Rajori

According to reports reached Kashmir Essence, the incident occurred when the boy tried to cross the track. The fast moving train reportedly hit the minor resulting in the on spot death. The mother of the minor tried to rescue his son but she too was injured as the train hit her on arm and later she was hospitalised.

The police officials also confirmed the incident to Kashmir Essence, It is pertinent to mention this is not the first incident of such kind in the said area.
Bearly two months ago, a non local resident from punjab was hit by a train just few meters away from the same spot, He succumbed to her injuries soon after the accident.(KE)
