Army holds interaction with trainees of Kashmir centre

SRINAGAR: As part of initiatives to secure a better future for Kashmiri youth, Kilo Force, under the aegis of Chinar Corps has been running ‘Kashmir Centre for Educational Counseling and Professional Guidance’ at Mirgund, Pattan since 27 Dec 2016.

Maj Gen AK Singh, SM, VSM, GOC, Kilo Force on his visit to Haiderbegh during the Common Entrance Exam on 28 May 2017 interacted with the youth of North Kashmir which also included 74 youth who were trained at the ‘Kashmir Centre for Educational Counselling and Professional Guidance’.  He applauded the initiative under which the centre has been providing coaching & guidance to youth for securing Central & State Govt jobs in Army, Paramilitary and JKP.  The GOC promised to extend continuous support for any such efforts for the better future of youths of Kashmir & exhorted maximum youth to avail the facility.

As part of an initiative undertaken to prepare the local youth for recruitment, the centre facilitated online registration of 483 youth. Since Mar 16, these youth were given physical training & academic coaching to appear for the Common Entrance Exam at the centre in Mirgund. Amongst the trainees, 74 candidates cleared their medicals & appeared for the Common entrance exam held today. The Centre has facilities for physical training, a computer lab with internet & a well stocked library for the youth. It is also being utilized to inform youth about various employment opportunities in CAPF, Police & Army & facilitate their recruitment through constant guidance & coaching and is being further upgraded to facilitate employment opportunities in all State and Central govt ministries.
