Srinagar: Thirteen BJP candidates who had filed nomination papers from Dooru area of Anantnag district have withdrawn their nominations.
Dooru constituency president of BJP, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, confirmed to Kashmir Reader that all 13 candidates, who had filed nominations, have withdrawn and given up the basic membership of the party.
He said that the promises he had made with the people have not been fulfilled by the party. “I cannot continue to betray my own people. I have resigned and all my candidates have withdrawn their nominations and given up the basic membership of the party”
Meanwhile Sub Divisional Magistrate Dooru confirmed that 3 BJP and 2 Congress nominations have been withdrawn.
