“17.5 per cent votes casted in Kashmir, 61 per cent in Jammu region”
Srinagar, Oct 08 : Chief Election Officer (CEO) Jammu and Kashmir, Shaleen Kabra released an overall poll percentage of the first phase of ULB elections till 03:00 pm, revealing that 53 per cent votes were polled in the state so far.
According to the percentage, 59% polls were casted till 03 pm while as in Poonch and Rajouri 72% and 78% polls were polled respectively.
The CEO said that 61% polls were polled in Jammu region till 03:00 pm.
However, in Kashmir region only 17.5 per cent votes were casted till 03 pm with official percentage revealing that 25 per cent votes were polled in northern districts of the Valley.
The official figure also said that 53 per cent votes were polled in Jammu and Kashmir till 03 pm in the first phases.
However, the polls that started from 07 am will culminate at 04 pm. (KNS)
