RIE Ajmer organizes 5-day workshop in collaboration with JKBOSE on Educational Evaluation

Dr. Farooq Peer highlights importance of education evaluation in ensuring quality education

Srinagar, Oct 08 : A five day workshop on Educational Evaluation/Paper setting commenced today in the JKBOSE auditorium Bemina Srinagar. The workshop is being organized by RIE Ajmer in collaboration with the JKBOSE. The experts of NCERT are the members of workshop team headed by Chairman RIE Ajmer Prof. Dr. G Vishwanathapa. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir provided the services of 60 Key Resource Persons (Lecturers/masters/Teachers), who shall get training for five days from the outside experts on evaluation and paper setting, which shall increase the realistic thinking and develop the mental ability of students of the state appearing in secondary examination. Besides it will increase their learning levels also.
Director Academics (JKBOSE) Dr. Farooq Ahmad Peer in his welcome address highlighted the importance of education evaluation in ensuring quality education. While underlining the significance of educational evaluation, Dr Peer quoted the philosophical views of some great personalities.
Prof. G Vishawanathapa, Chairman RIE Ajmer speaking on the occasion, shared the recent initiatives being taken up by NCERT in the field of education evaluation. While assuring his all possible support to the state, he stressed for collaborative efforts in bringing a tangible change in the field of education.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo present on the occasion, elaborated the need for a revised scheme of education which is student friendly, comprehensive in nature, deeply linked with the classroom context.
