Srinagar: More than 50 people were dead Friday evening after a group of Dussehra revellers was run over by a train near Amritsar in Punjab. Reports said that the revellers had spilled onto railway tracks while watching burning of Ravana effigy.
At least 300 people were at the spot watching ‘Ravan dahan’, according to PTI news agency reported.
