Kulgam: A civilian was killed in a blast at the site of a gunfight in Laroo village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
A police official said that the locals thronged the site after the gunfight ended in Laroo village. He said that a civilian was killed after an explosive substance went off at the site.
He identified the deceased as Ubaid Laway.
Police also confirmed the death of one civilian in the blast on its official Twitter handle.
Police version
“civilians visited the encounter site immediately after operation inspite of request not to visit as thorough search is to be made for explosives once flames douse .they didn’t followed sop thus visited the spot immediately after forces withdrew and some explosive substance went off resulting in injuries to civilians . We request them not to visit the site again.” (Agencies)
