Dialogue, the only way to solve Kashmir Problem:Waza

Islamabad:Saying that kashmir issue remains core issue between India and Pakistan, Senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Sunday made it clear that unless and untill this issue is addressed as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people ,peace in South Asia will remain a farfetched dream.

While addressing different gatherings in Islamabad he said without inducting genuine Kashmiri leadership in the talks, the process would become meaningless. He also suggested that both the countries should give shape and direction to their ongoing negotiations to make them meaningful and result-oriented
“By fulfilling its promises and obligations towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir, we understand the universal principle of ‘right to self-determination’ is the only road through which peace can be achieved in Jammu and Kashmir”
Waza said Kashmiri nation has struggled from 1925 and in 1947 it was India who occupied Kashmir illegaly and made a gross violation of human rights
He added that world has become a global chip and in this age Supresion and oppression seems to be a worrying factor, thus Leadership of India should shun the path of rigidness and should initiate a dialogue process with Pakistan and Kashmiri leadership for the lasting solution of this vexed issue.
