PM Modi becomes first ‘foreign leader’ to visit Shinzo Abe’s private villa

Yamanashi (Japan), Oct 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday became the first foreign leader to be invited at the private villa of the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe here.
“Tete-a-tete in front of a fireplace. Japanese PM Shinzo Abe hosted PM Narendra Modi at his personal villa near Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
He also said that Mr Modi “is the first foreign leader to be invited to the villa”.
Prime Minister Modi is on a visit to Japan for the 13th annual India-Japan Summit.
Between Mr Modi and Mr Abe this was the 12th meeting during last four-and-half years.
Mr Modi and his Japanese counterpart Mr Abe on Sunday visited the manufacturing hub of the FANUC Corporation, one of the largest makers of industrial robots.
“Taking our cooperation to modern and advanced technologies. PM Narendra Modi and PM Shinzo Abe visited the FANUC Corporation, one of the largest makers of industrial robots in the world in Yamanashi,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
Both the leaders also toured the robotics and automation facilities.
After day long engagement on Sunday, Mr Modi will return to Tokyo by Express Train Kaiji accompanied by his host and Prime Minister Abe.
