No mercy for foreigners, will facilitate surrender of local militants: GoC 15 Corps

Urges youth to return to mainstreaming

Srinagar : The Army today said that there will be no mercy for the foreign militants caught in the encounters while as local militants can surrender without any fear.

According to VMS, while talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function at Baba Reshi, Tangmarg, GOC 15 Corps Lt General AK Bhat said that surrender is for local militants and Army will act tough against foreign militants.

“Any local militant willing surrender during encounter is free to lay his weapon but there will be no mercy for the foreign militants. I appeal the local militants to return to mainstream for us for Kashmir and for the nation,” he added.

Bhat also said that recruitment of local youths in militant organizations decreased in last two months.
