DPC of education department proves to be hoax, allege promotees, demand adjustment order
Srinagar, Nov 14 : The department of education has failed to issue adjustment orders to more than fifty of its class IV employees, despite widely publicizing its DPC earlier this year in media.
The class IV employees working in education department who qualified the type tests held earlier this year have alleged that education department is deliberately delaying the issuance of their adjustment orders in their favour despite the passage of nearly two months since the sanction of promotion in their favour.
The type tests were conducted earlier this year and promotions were finally sanctioned in favour of 55 candidates belonging to different districts in Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee (DDPC) meet held in the month of September.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the aggrieved employees said that they are yet to get the benefits of promotion, they are being subjected to repeatedly knock at the doors of bureaucrats and politicians and director is turning a blind eye towards their genuine demands. The DPC has merely proved to be a hoax.
The aggrieved candidates stated that promotions were sanctioned in the month of September but it took department more than one month to issue promotion orders that too without adjustment/placement.
The candidates are still waiting for the issuance of adjustment orders in their favour despite the passage of two months since the date of DPC, affecting them monetarily as they can’t draw the pay of Junior Assistant until they physically occupy the post of Junior Assistant, they said.
They also alleged that department has deprived them of their entitled seniority by issuing promotion orders with seniority effect same as that of issuance of promotion orders which was otherwise to be considered from the date of passing the type test.
The aggrieved employees have appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to kindly look into the matter and ask the authorities at the helm to issue adjustment/placement orders in favour of type test qualifiers so that they are not deprived of their rights.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G N Itoo told KNS that the adjustment order in favour of the candidates will be issued by tomorrow.
