Kupwara, Nov 15: A massive search operation continued for the second successive day on Thursday in the woods near the Line of Control (LoC) in the frontier district of Kupwara.
Meanwhile, bodies of two militants, who were killed on Tuesday when alert troops foiled an infiltration bid near the LoC, were recovered near Balbir post.
With the first light on Thursday morning, security forces resumed search operation in the dense woods near the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector despite hard weather conditions and difficult terrain.
The operation was launched after alert troops intercepted a group of militants on Tuesday evening and gunned down two of them in an encounter.
They said that the operation was suspended on Tuesday night due to darkness. (UNI)
