Rain creates havoc in North East, 12 killed
Guwahati: Two persons have been killed in Guwahati while other 10 swept away in Carnafulu river in a remote location in Lunglei district of Mizoram due to flash floods and landslides caused due to incessant rains disrupting normal life in major towns of the north eastern region.

Angamuthu informed that 2 people were killed in the city including a student and a man who were electrocuted on Zoo Road.
The district administration has also declared school holidays tomorrow in view of the incessant rains which submerged major parts of Guwahati.
The incessant rains that began on Tuesday morning blocked the two main arterial routes in the city, triggering traffic congestion and submerging several localities. (UNI)
