Shabir Shah pays tribute to Shaheed-e-Ummat Dr Qazi Nisar

SRINAGAR: Remembering the Shaheed-e-Ummat, Dr Qazi Nisar on his 24thanniversary, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Saturday hailed his religious, social, and political contribution. He also appealed for complete shutdown in Islamabad on June 19 to commemorate the anniversary.

In a statement issued to press, Shah said Shaheed Qazi Nisar will always be remembered for the role he played in creating political awareness among masses and for his social welfare. “He was an acknowledged religious scholar and a firebrand orator,” he said.

Highlighting his role in the resistance movement, Shah said Shaheed Qazi Nisar launched numerous campaigns among masses to aware them about their political rights.

“Shaheed dedicated his whole life for the service of Islam and his nation and ultimately achieved the martyrdom while pursuing his mission,” Shah said and paid tributes to him.

Shah also paid tributes to all martyrs of Jammu Kashmir and said “we’re committed to their mission and will not let their invaluable sacrifices go waste”.

“The need is to exhibit steadfastness on the path of freedom struggle. The whole nation is indebted to the sacrifices of martyrs and we have firm belief that their sacrifices will bear fruitful results and we will achieve Azadi soon, In Sha Allah,” he said.

Shah also expressed deep grief over the demise of aunt of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. She passed away in Islamabad a couple of days ago.

Shah expressed condolence and solidarity with Mirwaiz and the bereaved family and prayed for heavenly abode of the deceased soul.

Meanwhile, Shah strongly condemned the beating of people and destroying of residential properties in Kulgam by Indian Army.

He said even though the occupational forces have been unleashing oppression on Kashmiris for the last seven decades but now they are regularly venting our their frustration after seeing the pro-freedom spirit and valour of the people of south Kashmir.

“All this is done under a well planned conspiracy. Authorities don’t want Kashmiris to prosper economically but are hell bent on crippling it,” he said.

He also condemned the forces’ terrorism in Shopian and Pulwama and said the people of Kashmir will not succumb to such oppression and will never surrender.

He termed it extremely condemnable and shameful that people are not spared even in the holy month of Ramadhan.

Shah also expressed grief over the loss of human lives due to massive fire accident in London and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured. He also expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved families.
