SRINAGAR: Anantnag Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered a kilogram of Charas from his possession in Sangam area of Anantnag District.
A police party of Police Post Sangam during Naka checking at Sangam bridge intercepted a Maruti car bearing registration number JK0IG-4197. On its checking police recovered a kilogram of Charas. Driver of the vehicle identified as Javaid Ahmad Ganie son of Gull Mohammad Ganie resident of Melhora Zainpora, Shopian was taken into custody. A case FIR number 75/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against him and further investigation was taken up. (PTK)
