13 years on, selection list of class 4th posts missing in Baramulla, candidates stage protests

Baramulla, Jan 08 : The candidates who had submitted application forms for different class 4th posts in the year of 2006 in this northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district staged a protest demonstration on Tuesday against the district administration Baramulla who fail to publish the selection list since 2006.
Eyewitness said that large number of candidates from different areas of Baramulla district including Uri, Baramulla, Sopore, Rafiabad, Pattan and Tangmarg, including members of traders federation Baramulla assembled at Kiryapa Park Baramulla where from they marched different lanes and reached DC office Baramulla where they stage a strong protest demonstration against the district administration Baramulla.
They said that district administration conduct several interviews in several phases, but till date they fail to publish the selection list. The protesting people said that several candidates passed away in past 13 years, while several candidates went made and most of the candidates including female are visiting DC office Baramulla everyday where some officers are giving him only promise, but no output is coming from the office.
However, as the candidates reached at the DC office gate, they (administration) closed the gate for hours and not allowed anyone to enter into the office premises, resulting the candidates staged protest out of the main gate and burn posters and news papers in which DC Baramulla had said that list will be open within few days or few weeks but no result.
They said that large number of candidates had submitted their application forms for different class 4th posts in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district under advertisement number 04/DDC of 2006, dated 18-10-2006, under endorsement number DDCB/2006 class 4th/8522-35, dated 19-10-2006,) however 13 years passed the final selection list is still pending.
They said that on 27th July 2018 a news story was published that how DC office Baramulla and director planning Baramulla Abdul Gani Malik passed wrong informations to government’s grievance cell that list of selected candidates of class iv jobs will be publish before 15th July 2018, and then DC Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Nakash in a video massage and a press release through information department announced that list of class 4th candidates who applied for the posts in 2006 will be publish in the first week of August 2018. However the helpless candidates are still waiting and list of selected candidates yet not published.
In the month of June 2018 some candidates complaints before the government’s grievance cell that 12 years passed but the district administration Baramulla failed to publish the selection list of candidates after several interviews and then grievance cell of the Jammu and Kashmir government contacted Director Planning Baramulla A G Malik on 1st July 2018, who assured the grievance cell that list will be publish by or before 15th of July 2018. But the list was not published.
After few days a candidate again forward his complaint to grievance cell of the present government and then Mr Malik answered that list will be publish by or before the 30 July 2018, however no result.
The candidates who applied for these posts said that from past one year the deputy commissioner Baramulla and director planning who was head of the recruitment committee only assuring candidates that list will be publish very soon but year passed and they fail to made the list before public.
Past month the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Nasir Naqash in a written reply to high court told that as the model code of conduct will end, we will publish the list, however a month passed and DC Baramulla completely denied it and said it will take more time. (KNS)
