Jammu, Jan 15 The sleuths of Special Operation Group and Jammu Police on Tuesday nabbed three drug peddlers with contraband of poppy straw in separate incidents here.
“SOG Jammu this evening achieved a success by recovering 175 kilogram poppy straw and arrested the narcotic smuggler who was carrying the contraband to outside the state in a truck at Nagrota here on city outskirts,” SSP SOG Jammu, SSP Sandeep Mehta here said.
He said that during checking of vehicles, one Apple loaded truck (JK13A-4029) was stopped and during comprehensive search of the vehicle, 175 kilograms of Poppy Straw which was concealed in bags and specially designed chambers inside the body of vehicle was recovered
