Srinagar, Jan 21 Alleging that previous PDP-BJP government has alienated Gujjar-Bakerwal community, National Conference (NC) on Monday said that tribal development, promotion and safeguarding the interests of the community have always been on the developmental agenda of the party.
“Our party has always given special attention to Gujjar community by channelising the resources to stimulate growth amongst the vulnerable tribal communities including Gujjars,” NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar said here while addressing a delegation of Gujjar community comprising of political and social activists, educated youth from Bandipora.
Mr Sagar alleged that indomitable Gujjar community of the state was dealt with disdain by the previous BJP-PDP government
