Hizbul Mujahideen pays tribute to its first communication chief

Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen on Wednesday paid rich tribute to its first communication chief Imtiyaz Ahmed Parray of Cherhara Beerwah on his 21st martyrdom anniversary.

Salim Hashmi, the Hizb spokesperson quoted Syed Salahuddin as having said that Imtiyaz Ahmed was an MSc Botany from Kashmir University who left government job to fight India in Kashmir.

“From Islamabad to Kupwara and from the dense forests and mountains of Kishtwar and Doda, Imtiyaz Ahmed Parray kept militants in touch with one another through his skills.”

During his address to Hizb Command Council, Syed Salahuddin hailed the role and contribution of slain communication chief towards the Kashmir freedom struggle.

The Hizb Chief as per a statement to CNS also paid rich tributes to two militants killed in Khonmu encounter on January 26. He said Indian forces exhibited their “frustration by disfiguring the bodies of two militants” and said “sun of freedom” will definitely rise in Kashmir.
