Employees Union leader Qayoom Wani to join PDP tomorrow
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) president Abdul Qayoom Wani on Friday sought volunteer retirement from the government services and resigned from the basic membership of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Teachers Joint Action Committee (TJAC) and Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) to join Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to enter the electoral fray as PDP candidate from north Kashmir’s Lok Sabha constituency in the upcoming elections.
Wani told KNS that he has sought volunteer retirement from the services and has also resigned from the basic membership of forums he was heading to join PDP on Saturday.
He said that the decision to join politics is aimed to serve people of the society in general and admitted he would be contestant for Lok Sabha elections from north Kashmir.
