DDC Budgam unveils DDA wall, table calendars
Budgam ,Feb 4, District Development Commissioner, Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today unveiled Doodhpathri Development Authority Wall/ Table Calendars-2019 during a grand function held at New Conference Hall Budgam.
ADDC Budgam/ CEO DDA, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai, ACR Budgam, Zaffar Ahmad Shawl, DEPO Budgam, Farooq Ahmad Raina, DIO Budgam, Showkat Hussain Ganaie and various other officials of DDA were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, DC Budgam said that both calendars highlight the significance of Doodhpathri vis-a-vis its natural beauty, lush green jungles, snow-capped mountains, fast flowing water streams and its rich meadows and pastures.
She said that the main focus is to promote the Doodhpathri as the best tourist destination and ensure the tourist footfall increases to all other nearby unexplored and virgin tourist places in the district.
She said that the efforts are on to aware people about the beauty of the Doodhpathri and attract both locals and domestic tourists to visit the place and these steps are in line with the scheme of things to promote our tourist spots.
CEO DDA, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai said that it is a small effort to highlight various places around Doodhpathri worth to be visited and promoted for the tourism purposes for their beauty and calmness. He said that government has taken up various development projects to develop Doodhpathri and ensure all required facilities for the visitors there.
*Electoral awareness conference for EROs, AEROs, BLOs under SVEEP held in Budgam*
A daylong electoral awareness conference for EROs, AEROs and BLOs under Systematic Voter Education Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was held today at New Conference Hall in Budgam.
On the occasion, District Election Officer Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, who chaired the conference, held under the theme ‘No voter to be left un-registered’, directed the concerned to make the polling stations are accessible to all.
She directed the Education Department to ensure basic minimum facilities including installation of ramps for easy access to the disabled persons at all polling stations. The DEO emphasized accessible elections for all and directed concerned to ensure no genuine voter is left unregistered in the district.
During the meeting, the DEO interacted with BLOs and matters/issues related to the generation of maximum awareness on the electoral process and generating EPIC cards were discussed threadbare. She stressed on awareness generation campaigns and directed BLOs to take strenuous efforts on voter awareness and voter registration across the district.
On the occasion, the issues regarding the provision of kits for BLOs and updation of electoral rolls were also discussed in the meeting. The conference was organized by DEO Budgam and DEPO office (Nodal Officer).
