Srinagar: A residential house was hit by a snow avalanche in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
An official said an avalanche hit a residential house belonging to Bashir Ahmad Qureshi son of Noor Mohammad Qureshi in Sanbradi Magam area on Thursday evening.
Deputy commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik told Local Daily that two persons were rescued from the house.
Kashmir valley, including the summer capital Srinagar, is experiencing heavy snowfall from yesterday.
