Video Report | Police Foil JRL March on Maqbool Bhat’s Death anniversary

Srinagar: On the 35th death anniversary of Maqbool Bhat ,a   protest march  was carried out by Joint Resistance  activists.

It was foiled by police who swung into action, bundled them into vehicles and whisked away.

Earlier raising slogans, Scores of Joint Resistance Activists took to streets seeking the mortal remains  of Maqbool Bhat ,a JKLF leader who was hanged to death at  Tihar  jail on  11 febuary 1984.

Meanwhile all the shops, government offices and business establishments remained shut. There was thin attendance of traffic on the roads as well.

 Maqbool Bhat  is the founder of  Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).It was earlier called Jammu kashmir national liberation front which was rechristened as JKLF.He was accused of killing an inspector of CID ,Amar Chand .He was sent to gallows on 11 febuary ,1984.
