Outgoing DC Khalid Jahangir Accorded Emotional Farewell by District administration

Kupwara, feb. 21: Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Khalid Jahangir was accorded a warm farewell by District Administration at  DC Office in Kupwara today. He has been posted as Deputy Commissioner Anantnag.
Tehsildar Ghulam Nabi speaking on the occasion said that  Khalid jahangir has always been on the toes to address the grievances of people and he always preferred to visit the far off places to get first hand appraisal of amenities provided. His tenure has been an enriching experience for all and the district has witnessed phenomenal growth in each and every sector.
Speaking on the occasion ACR Kupwara said that worthy DDC Kupwara has not only worked himself with zeal and zest but he also urged the officials to work round the clock towards addressing the issues and demands of people. He has been a leader in true sense, one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.
Rasikh Rasool a working Journalist from frontier district said, Khalid Jahangir  has always worked to develop the work culture in offices and his effort will lead our District towards more brighter times ahead.
BMO Sogam Dr. Firdous Ahmad speaking on the occasion highlighted as to how DDC made tireless  efforts to strengthen the Health sector and ensured that quality healthcare facilities are provided to all the people including those residing in far off border areas.
“The punctuality and dedication of employees and positive change in work culture  in all the offices of the district after Khalid Jahangir assumed charge shall continue as his legacy,” Exen PHE Handwara said.
The media fraternity of Kupwara expressed heartfelt gratitude for out going DC for his sincere efforts in making Kupwara a safe place for journalists to work and contribute in the overall development of the district as fourth pillar of democracy.
A renowned poet from district Kupwara, Mohammad Yousuf Mashoori speaking on the occasion applauded the work of out going DC.
Exen R&B Gurdev Singh speaking on the occasion thanked outgoing DC for the way he had worked for the district and the manner he treated  officials. “The positive change in work culture provided a great momentum to our district,” Gurudev said.
SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar and SSP Handwara Ashish Mishra, thanked outgoing DC for the cooperation, coordination and  efforts, making it possible to create a peaceful environment across the district. They also mentioned that it was because of DC’s efforts that Kupwara successfully managed conduct and  to clinch highest rank in recent ULB and Panchayat polls.
The outgoing ADDC, Mohammad Yousuf Mir said that the constant monitoring capability he had and the kind of energy he possesses is unmatched. “He has been working round the clock.” He also said that, transfers are part and parcel of administration, adding that, the tenure we spent working with Khalid Jahnagir will always be special.
“Much thankful to all for bearing me over the months, been harsh to all,  I’m totally satisfied and confident in saying that, all that we have achieved is all because of the team I had with me. All of them worked with the best of their efforts and made all the achievements and recognition  possible”, Khalid Jahangir said.
“All the district officials have been cooperative to bring the much needed changes in all the sectors. The mission for the development of the district contains contribution of every single official. We have successfully managed to facilitate the people up to their expectations almost in all the sectors,” he added.
At the end Outgoing DDC Kupwara Khalid jahangir thanked every single person  he met during his tenure.
In the farewell speech, the outgoing DC said that it was good experience working for a term of Twenty Months. “I have faced a lot challenges all through my work but I was always committed to my work”, he added.
DC in his speech highlighted many achievements in his tenure, like, inauguration of SDH langate, various Bridges, macadamization of various roads and macadamization of Bus stand Kupwara and Handwara. He also highlighted that many areas like Manigah and other Borders areas were electrified through soubagiya Scheme. 5000 high density plants were provided to farmers to boost  the economy of the district.
The honey of the district  which is best in the world needs branding in the market that will boost the economy of the district.
GNB residential school will be completed in  5 to six months.
“I am glad and happy that roads like Gagal and Warsun are going to be completed which is biggest milestone covered by the District administration”, he added.
In Aspirational District programme we took a quantum jump moving fast in terms of development.  PHE, RDD, Agriculture, Health and other departments worked very hard which contributed in  the ranking of the district.
All the District officers worked tirelessly day and night in approving languishing projects.
The revenue department has worked over updation of land records and today it is movement of joy to say here that  2017-18 record is updated. Land acquisition work was carried smoothly by the cooperation of the people of the district.
People friendly policing of both the SSPs of the district is praise worthy.

Meanwhile ADDC Kupwara Mohamad Yousif Mir and ACD Yar Ali Khan were also accorded warm send off for their new assignment in Bandipora and Baramulla respectively.
