Srinagar (KPS): Presidents of all industrial estates Federation Chamber Of Industries Of Kashmir (FCIK) today held a press conference at Kashmir press club(KPC) against the exemption of toll tax.
Addressing the media, Kaiser Shahid, senior vice president, Industrial estates said, “We request the Governor administration not to revoke the toll exemption for the industries in the state as 60% of the existing industries will have to shutdown their routine work”.
The toll incentive is the only leftover option for the industrialists in the state umder the industrial policy. If the toll will be revoked than the people here are left with no option but to close their units, added kaiser shahid.
The toll exemption is directly generating economy and employment in the backbone of the state. If the toll will be slabbed under “one nation, one tax”, it will directly effect the whole population of the state as units will be closed and unemployment will again rise, added another Vice-president.
