March 10: Police in Srinagar raided a gambling site and arrested gamblers in its recent action against the gamblers in the area.
Four persons were arrested following a credible input about gambling activities in Danamazar area of Noorbagh, Srinagar.
Officers from the local police unit while making the arrests have also seized playing cards and stake amount of ₹16,200/- from the gamblers.
Case FIR No 23/2019 under relevant sections of law stands registered and investigation has been taken up.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to pass information regarding the crimes in their neighborhood to the local police units.
