Kulgam : Massive clashes erupted between government forces and youth during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Budroo area of Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Locals said that youths threw stones on troops amid intense pro-freedom sloganeering, the forces responded with teargas shelling.
Officials said that the operation was launched following specific input about presence of militants in the area,.
Meanwhile, a door-to-door search operation has been launched in the area.
All the entry and exit points were sealed to the area.(KNO)
