Court rejects bail of alleged Hizb worker

Jammu, Feb 15, A Special Judge (3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu) Subash Chander Gupta rejected the bail application of Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, an employee of Health Department who according to police is an Over Ground Worker of militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen.

Police report revealed that on January 2, 2020, an information was received by the police station, Dacchan through their reliable source that some persons particularly Muhamamd Hussian of Gujjar Kothan, Saddam Hussain Wani, a resident of Suid Dachhan, Ghulam Nabi Chopan resident of Trungai Dachhan, Bashir Ahmed Mingnoo, resident of Khraipakhnoo, Dachhan, Wali Mohammad Sheikh of Sewarbatti Dachhan, Mohammad Ramzan, of Dangdoru, Yasir Hussain, resident of Dangdoru Dachhan, Khazer Mohammad resident of Dangdoru, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, of Sewarbatti Dachhan and Zahoor Ahmed, of Lohrna Dachhan have established an underground network and are associated with Hizbul Mujahideen.

It was alleged that they are harbouring, providing transportation and other logistics services to the terrorists associated with HM for carrying out attacks against the government forces.

  It was also learnt that they are managing secret meetings with active militants namely Mohammad Amin alias Jahangir Saroori, Mudasir Ahmed and Riaz Ahmed for carrying out militancy activities in the area by plotting conspiracies and providing funds, arms and ammunition to the militants, besides information with regard to locations of the security forces for carrying out terror attacks.

Special Judge (3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu) Subash C Gupta after hearing APP Sanjay Kohli observed that accusation against the accused of his involvement in unlawful activities within the meaning of relevant provisions of UA(P) Act for HM is serious, heinous, grave viz-a-viz threatening security, integrity and sovereignty of Union of India and Jammu and Kashmir. With these observations, court rejected bail application. (KNT)
