Accident fire during CASO:Two soldiers injured, shifted to army hospital
Pulwama, Feb 23,: Two soldiers were injured in accidental fire during a cordon and search operation in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources told Kashmir News Trust that after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in Tikan village of Pulwama, soldiers from 55 Rashtriya Rifles laid a siege around a vast orchard adjacent to village. During the search operation, the rifle of a soldier went off resulting in the bullet injuries of two soldiers.
Sources identified these injured soldiers as Simath Kumar and Vinay Kumar who were shifted to Srinagar based 92 Base Army Hospital.
Sources said that after the incident, the operation was called off. (KNT)
