BATOTE : Jammu and Kashmir’s longest Chenani-Nashri Tunnel was today closed for traffic for three hours due to a technical snag in one of the tubes while a long traffic jam is reported on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district.”Some technical snag broke out inside the tunnel this afternoon due to which it has been closed for vehicles,” Mohan Lal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban said.It is worthwhile to mention here that there are also allegations that 9.2km Chenani-Nashri tunnel on the Jammu-Srinagar highway may not be working effectively as commuters are complaining of high pollution levels, eye irritation and suffocation inside what has been labelled as one of India’s infrastructural wonders.
