JK, AP tour operators sign MoU for tourism promotion

Srinagar, Mar 5 : To attract more tourists from South-Eastern part of the country, travel and tour operators from Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir signed a MoU with Tour and Travel Association of Andhra Pradesh (TTAA) at a tourism promotional campaign and roadshow at Vijayawada on Wednesday.
The roadshow was organised by J&K Tourism Department in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Alliance (JKTA), an official spokesman said on Thursday.
Kashmir tourism received a major setback after Union Home Ministry issued an advisory to tourists and other non state subjects to leave the valley on August 5, when the Centre abrogated Article 370 and divided the state into two UTs. The footfall of tourists has yet to pick up though advisory was later withdrawn.
