CAA attempt to murder case: Anticipatory bail plea of ex-AAP leader Tahir Hussain nixed
New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) A Delhi court on Thursday dismissed an anticipatory bail application of former Aam Aadmi Party leader Tahir Hussain, arrested in connection with the violence in northeast areas of the Capital, in the wake of the new citizenship law.
Delhi Police Crime Branch today arrested Hussain on the spot when his surrender application was listed for hearing before the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vishal Pahuja. The ACMM declined to hear the plea, holding that the applicant had no jurisdiction to file it in this court.
Booked in an attempt to murder case, Hussain had moved an application to surrender before the court. In the meantime, a Delhi Police Crime Branch team arrived to arrest him.
