President, PM extend Holi greetings to all

New Delhi, Mar 10 : President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their greetings to the people on the occasion of the festival of colors on Tuesday.

President Kovind in his message said that may the festival bring peace, joy and prosperity in everyone’s life and added that Holi is a celebration of spring and fraternity in our society.
‘Wishing everyone a HappyHoli! The festival of colours, Holi is a celebration of spring and fraternity in our society. May it bring peace, joy and prosperity to everyone’s life,’ Mr Kovind said in a tweet.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the people and wished that may the festival of Holi bring happiness in everyone’s lives.
However, as a precautionary measure the Rashtrapati Bhawan is not holding holi gatherings this time in view of the COVID-19 and similarly PM Modi had earlier said that this time he had decided not to participate in the Holi Milan programme.
‘Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme,’ PM had tweeted last week.
