Never used the name of doctor;‘Prescription letter mentions the names of doctors who examined patients’
Handwara, Apr 19, KNT: A day after police registered a case after a doctor claimed that his name was being used on the prescription without his knowledge, the Nursing Home owner in question has said that the stationary mentioning the name of the doctor along with four others were printed in 2015 and there is no question of using the name of any doctor not working in the Nursing Home.
One Doctor Shafqat had quired that despite leaving Asif Memorial Nursing Home in Handwara and moving to Mumbai, the owner of the Nursing Home was using common doctors letter head, a claim that has been refuted not only by the owner of the Nursing Home but by patients as well.
“Dr Shafkat was working in our Nursing Home and he left the job in 2018, but the stationary we printed in 2015 mentioning the names of five doctors on the letter head. It was Doctor Sumeena whose name along with other doctors is mentioned on the prescription letter who was examining the patients and her name also figures in the prescription letter. We didn’t misuse the name of the Doctor who filed a complaint in police station,” the owner of the Nursing Home told KNT.
He said that no doctor in the Nursing Home uses a separation prescription letter. “In all the prescription letters, names of five doctors are mentioned. Dr Sumeena also was using the same prescription letter,” he said adding that they have no ill intention and never believed in using the name of Dr Shafqat and defame his name. And if he has a problem of using common priscription the honor of the said nursing home said we will discard the previous stationary without any delay.
A couple of patients who talked to KNT said that they were visiting to Dr Sumeena and never wished to visit any other doctor. “We were not befooled and know it very well that we are being examined by the doctor of our choice,” they said.
