Srinagar, Jun 15 :Seven gamblers were arrested and stake money recovered by police in Srinagar, a police spokesman said on Monday.
He said a police party from police Post (PP) Chanapora in Srinagar raided a gambling site at Mustafabad, Rambagh, and arrested three gamblers on the spot.
He said stake money of Rs 18200 and playing cards were recovered.
In this regard case FIR No. *154/20* U/S 13 Gambling Act stands registered in *PS Sadder* and investigation taken up.
This is in continuation to our efforts to curb the social evils, he said adding general Public has applauded the timely Police action.
