Srinagar, Jun 18 :Jammu and Kashmir police has decided to provide financial assistance to personnel who will test positive to coronavius in the Union Territory (UT), a police spokesman said on Thursday.
He said a circular has been issued from police headquarter to all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) directing them to provide financial assistance to virus affected police personnel.
So far over 100 personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir police, who are among frontline warriors against COVID-19, have tested positive to this virus. However, majority of them have recovered and joined duty or in home quarantine.
