BHADERWAH: Fed up with alleged cheating tactics of the Rural Development Department and pathetic attitude of employees posted in villages to redress their grievances, a number of people demanded that a high-level inquiry into the large-scale bungling in the departments.People of various wards of Katyara Sherakhi included Abdul Ganai Naik , Mohan Chand , Mohd Ayoub Sheikh , Abdul Ganai Naik ,Abdul Quyoom Butt and others are up in arms against the officials of Rural Development department (RDD) posted in their Panchayat accused them of misuse of funds meant for development of these areas. Most of the villagers allege misuse of funds under the Rural Development Schemes especially the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) , Panchayat share and others heads and demanded inquiry . Interestingly, the villagers have repeatedly brought the matter to the notice of the authorities concerned but no action has been taken so far. Fed up with alleged cheating tactics of the Rural Development Department officers and pathetic attitude of employees posted in their villages to redress their grievances, they demanded that a high-level inquiry into the large- scale bungling, nepotism and favoritism in the villages .They said they would otherwise be left with no other option than to hit roads and start an agitation. They alleged funds of lakhs of rupees are being swindled under the scheme by being withdrawn on the names of few blue-eyed influential people, including government employees, and even those who are not BPL . They also alleged that employees posted in their villages not issued job cards and work to them instead of repeated requests and are making baseless excuses .
