NIA will check law and order problem, militant activities in Kashmir: Spl DG CRPF
JAMMU: In view of the arrest of at least seven separatists, including son-in-law of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani by the NIA, state Special Director General CRPF S N Shrivastava today said that action will be taken to keep check on law and order issues besides militant-related activities in the Kashmir valley.
“NIA investigation has cleared so many things. These elements were acting upon the directions from across the border and also being funded to create disturbance in the Kashmir Valley,’’ Mr Shrivastava told reporters here at a press conference at the sidelines of a function organised to celebrate CRPF Raising Day.
“With NIA action, noose will be tightened on terror funding and it will also keep check on law and order problem vis-à-vis militant activities,’’ said the CRPF top officer. (UNI)
