Congress leader questions Feasal’s decision of quitting politics
Srinagar August 10: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Monday questioned JKPM founder Shah Feasal’s decision of quitting politics all of sudden, stating that his decision has dashed hopes of all those perturbed youth who saw in Faseal a beacon of hope to get Jammu and Kashmir out of the present morass of uncertainty.
He said that after quitting civil services, Faesal grabbed the media headlines as he declared himself and the party he founded amid much fanfare as a viable alternative to the traditional political system that according to him was responsible for all the mess Jammu and Kashmir was into for decades.
Kadfeen said that joining or leaving politics is the individual’s own choice but the way in which Feasal showed green pastures on the other side of the fence to scores of his well-wishers and supporters and collecting funds in the name of “Change” was sardonic to the core.
He said that youth in droves at that time came out in his support and contributed for the formation of his party. “All that support was for Faeasal and not for any political turncoat. Deserting those youth in the middle of the prevalent crises is akin to treachery and he should be held accountable in people’s court over why when he was ought to steer the ship, has deserted it sans any compunction,” said the Congress leader and added that it is a lesson for the people and especially youth of Jammu and Kashmir to be wary of such elements who milk the favorable situations and as and when hard times approach, they sought refuge in safe heavens.
