Top Co – Educational Boarding School in Punjab to offer subsidised School Education to Kashmiri Children
PIPS Pojewal – an IB / ICSE Affiliated / Approved Co-Educational boarding school in Punjab has offered to Kashmiri children of I to IX Class, subsidised Quality Education
Srinagar: This was stated by Samarjit Singh, Head (Admissions) of the School in a media interaction organised at Kashmir Press Club, Srinagar on 03-11-2020.
While talking to the media, Mr. Samarjit Singh disclosed that the Chairman of the school, Dr. A.K. Sinha (Retd. IAS and PhD), who has a close association with Kashmir, and has envisioned to see that the children of Kashmir receive the best of English education so that they earn name and fame throughout the world, has extended a helping hand to raise the level & standard of Education in J & K .
Mr. Singh explained that, towards this objective, the school is offering subsidies for the best of education as well as excellent boarding facilities, for Kashmiri children – both boys and girls, considering the current situation in the field of education. The School has offered a direct relief of Rs.1.00 lakhs to Rs.1.25 lakhs as flat subsidy on the total cost of Boarding Education for ICSE Courses.
He further shared the host of facilities being offered in this 105-acre campus in Shivalik Hills in Pojewal, almost adjacent to the Jammu-Punjab border.The school is located at a short distance of about 2 hours travel time from Jammu.
The facilities offered include both national (ICSE) and international (IB) courses along with a large spectrum of activities including swimming, roller skating, tennis, squash and other standard outdoor games like football, Badminton, Football athletics turf etc.
Also being provided are Special Classes for Music, Art and Painting, Dancing and various other Hobbies like Carpentry, Pottery& Stone Carving & STEM Engineering Labs etc so as to enrich the children and help them develop a holistic personality.
The School has offered subsidized Education for two years initially valid for Academic Session 2020-21 & 2021-22 to make it economically viable for Kashmiri Parents.
Replying to a query from the media, Mr. Singh emphasized that the school campus is located in a very safe area and peaceful environment in the state of Punjab which has all along had special relation of cordiality and commonality with Jammu and Kashmir. The Campus is well protected with all round Boundary wall & fencing with Security Guards & restricted entry at the Main Entrance Gate & each Hostel has its own Boundary Walls.
Finally, he thanked the people of Kashmir for the warm hospitality shown to him during his various visits to the valley.
