Hakeem Rizwan seeks Dakota service between jammu-srinagar to airlift stranded passengers
People hit hard by shortage of essential commodities
Srinagar/ January 13 :- Budding socio- political leader Hakeem Rizwan has appealed Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to start Army Dakota service between jammu to srinagar to lift stranded passengers and importing essential commodities to srinagar ,in the wake of closure of srinagar – Jammu National highway.He has also urged for resuming railway service from Banihal to Baramulla , for convenience of the passengers, which is closed in the wake of Coronavirus lockdown .
In a statement issued on Wednesday Hakeem Parvez has urged the need for starting Dakota servic for ferrying stranded passengers at srinagar and jammu and importing essential commodities to kashmir in the wake of closure of Srinagar-National High way. He said closure of National highway -44 has put people of jammu and kashmir to great hardships adding that availability of essential commodities has been affected to an alarming level.He said prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed and the administration has miserably failed to check profiteering and black marketting.
Hakeem Rizwan said sinking of road at Kela Morh between Ramsu and Ramban stretch has further compounded the situation and the people of kashmir have been left to fend for themselves .He said the highway has become a death trap due it’s dilapidated condition , taking heavy toll of precious human lives each passing day.
Rizwan has appealed L G ogovernment to rise to the occasion and start Dakota service as early as possible for ferrying passengers and essential commodities to kashmir till the work on four Lanning of the National highway is completed .He said due to continued dilapidated condition of Srinagar- Jammu National highway, people of kashmir were facing tremendous hardships.
