Lack of hostel facilities, CUK Students protest outside Green Campus
Accommodation of Students at Hostels is responsibility of University: Nadia Rashid

Ganderbal 24 Feb: Students of Central University of Kashmir gathered outside their campus and protested against the lack hostel facility by the authorities. The agitated Students said that the hostel which is actually a hotel was provided to them and they were putting up there, but after the closure of University due to Pandemic followed by winter vacations the same accommodation has been provided to some protected political workers without the consent of the students who have left belongings in their rooms. They alleged that their belongings are missing from their rooms. These students have appealed university administration to intervene into the matter to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, the university authorities while admitting the allegations of student said that the matter has been taken with District administration and will be addressed soon.
Talking to media university spokesperson Nadia Rashid told that it is the responsibility of University to accommodate Students at Hostels and providing them a safe and secure complacent place to live in and study. She said that that is out rightly being denied by our university which is sheer Violation of fundamental rights of Students We are suffering at every nook and nothing is being done to assimilate us.
